1Verification & Trust
How do you verify conversions are real and not bots?
We process outcome data from designated sources (e.g., mobile attribution partners) according to predefined campaign rules. We apply multi-layer fraud and quality signals such as device fingerprinting, IP analysis, click-to-install time analysis, and behavioral patterns. Conversions that fail campaign rules do not trigger transfers.
What if I get installs from countries I didn't want?
You set geographic requirements upfront. Quality gates let you define country/region allowlists. Conversions from outside your target regions don't trigger transfers. You can also set retention requirements (e.g., Day-7 retention) to ensure quality.
What if I disagree that a conversion was legitimate?
We have a dispute resolution process. Partners can flag questionable conversions within a review window. Challenged transfers can be held while the underlying data is reviewed against the campaign rules and available evidence. We provide the relevant conversion data so decisions are based on facts, not trust.
How do I know the tracking is accurate?
We integrate with the same attribution partners (MMPs) you likely already use. Conversion data flows through your existing tracking infrastructure, so you can cross-reference our numbers with your own dashboards. No black boxes.
2Getting Started
What's the minimum budget to run a pilot?
We prioritize pilots with $10k+ budgets. This ensures there's enough spend to generate meaningful data and learnings. Smaller tests don't provide the statistical significance needed to evaluate performance.
How long does setup take?
Typically 1-2 weeks depending on integration complexity. If you already have MMP tracking in place, setup is faster. The main steps are: defining your outcome and quality gates, setting up attribution, funding the vault, and approving creators.
How long should a pilot run?
Most pilots run 4-8 weeks. This gives enough time to recruit creators, generate conversions, and gather meaningful performance data. Shorter pilots can work for simple campaigns.
3Payments & Costs
Do creators need crypto wallets?
No. While transfers can be executed via smart contracts for efficiency and onchain receipts, creators can use third-party offramps when available if they prefer traditional rails.
What fees does Thousands charge?
Fees are configured per pilot and discussed during campaign setup. Typically, a service/protocol fee is applied to successful outcomes under the campaign terms.
How quickly do creators get paid?
Transfer timing depends on campaign terms and network conditions. Some campaigns execute transfers in near-real-time, while others use scheduled transfers (e.g., weekly) with review windows.
4Platform & Model
Is this affiliate marketing?
Sometimes, but not only. While CPA (Cost Per Action) is similar to affiliate models, Thousands also supports treasury-funded grants (e.g., for ecosystem participation) which don't fit the traditional affiliate definition. We're a campaign infrastructure layer that works with multiple business models.
Are you a DAO?
No. Thousands is a product and a company. Partners can be DAOs or Treasuries, but Thousands itself is building open protocol rails with a company structure. We may introduce governance mechanisms later, but that's not our initial focus.
Do you guarantee outcomes or returns?
No. Thousands provides infrastructure for configuring and executing outcome-based campaigns. We do not guarantee campaign performance, conversion rates, or financial returns. Results depend on campaign design, creator quality, and market conditions.
What platforms do you support?
We're starting with Kick (Q1 2026), with X/Twitter planned for Q3 2026. YouTube and TikTok are on the roadmap. For mobile apps, we integrate with standard attribution partners regardless of where creators publish.
5Technical
How do receipts work?
When campaign conditions are met, smart contracts execute transfers and emit an onchain record. Receipts include: amount, creator address, campaign ID, and a hash of the underlying outcome data. Partners can reconcile campaign spend and outcomes using these receipts and supporting reports.
Why use blockchain at all?
Efficiency, not ideology. Smart contracts automate transfers (no invoices), enable programmatic global transfers, and provide a public onchain record. This reduces operational overhead and improves transparency for reconciliation.
What attribution partners do you integrate with?
We support Adjust, AppsFlyer, and Singular out of the box. Custom integrations are possible for partners with in-house attribution. For onchain outcomes (swaps, bridges, stakes), we query blockchain data directly.
